Hands On Curry Workshop
What is curry? This workshop will dispel the many misconceptions that surround the most recognized term in Indian cuisine. Did you know that there is no curry powder? And did you know that there is a curry tree? This class will address the techniques and spices in curries and provide all the answers.
- Suneeta’s Chicken Curry The quintessential chicken curry of north India in a rich tasting tomato, ginger and garlic base.
- Pork Vindaloo This hot signature dish of the western state of Goa, is flavored with vinegar, dried red chiles and garlic.
- Bengali Mustard Fish (Sarso Maach) The signature dish of Bengal, this light but flavor packed fish curry seasoned with mustard and nigella seeds and will become a favorite.
- Peas and Potatoes in Tomato Gravy A homestyle dish, this is one of my favorites. Peas and potatoes simmered in a cumin and cilantro seasoned tomato gravy.
- Vegetable Jhalfrazi A rich curry with panir and vegetables seasoned with saffron, whole aromatic spices, almonds and raisins.
